Last week we had the privilege of hosting Scotty Hillier and the crew from Channel 7's very own Creek to Coast. The team made the journey to Mornington Island to continue their series of "One Coast, One Crew, MRQ" Series. The lads need some downtime, so what was there to do - of course, we went fishing.
The weather behaved itself long enough for us to get out to a special little spot that did not fail. Scotty had a hook up within 30 seconds of dropping his line just over the edge of the boat. He was checking his drag and bam! he was on... 10kg trevally to warm up the muscles.
It did not take long for the trevally to turn into nice finger mark, otherwise known as Goldies or Golden Snapper. They soon had triple hookups and lines going every which way. The fish could not resist the Nomad Squidtex lures. So much fun was had by all. Even the Cameraman and the producer landed a few good fish, poor Scotty ended up on the camera! If you can believe that!!
Fun Morning!! Big thank you to the Lads for making the Trek!!
