About Us
At Gulfishin & Training, we are a family owned business located on the very remote, indiginus island located in the Gulf of Carpentaria - Mornington Island in the Wellesley Island Group. I first started the business here on the island in 2007, where I had a fishing tackle, fishing charter and training business. I Left the island in Mid 2008 to pursue a family on the mainland. In 2019 I started coming back to the island and moved back in 2023. Today, we do fishing charters, boat hire, scuba diving, boat licenses, first aid training and a range of boat and outboard repairs, with a little bit if tackle and chandlery sales too. Oh and lets not forget the sale of chickens, eggs, and all things in between.

Captain & Owner Stephen Williams
With over 3 decades of experience in fishing charters and marine safety, Steve leads our team with expertise and enthusiasm. His profound knowledge of the local waters of the Gulf of Carpentaria ensures enjoyable and hopefully productive trips for all.
The Kids
Ava and Thea are the two rapidly growing kids of the family. They both enjoy the ocean, fishing, snorkeling and are really getting into their Diving.
